WORK EXPERIENCES AND INTERNSHIPS
PUNKTEN 2021
In August I started working as a fill-in at Punkten which is a smaller grocery store. I worked as a cashier, filled the shelves, organizing and controlling the fruit and vegetables.
ÅLAND HOTELS 2021
In July I started working as a fill-in when necessary. I worked in the restaurants and in the reception at the hotels.
RESTAURANT CIKADA 2021
I started working in Cikada in June 2021 as a breakfast server. I handle everything from the cooking of the food to cleaning when breakfast is over and I also prep for the next day.
CLUB MARIN 2021
I worked as the restaurant manager until June 2021. I took care of the guests, cashier, menu translation, drink list and I also made pizzas when needed.
KOTIPIZZA MARIEHAMN 2020-2021
I helped Kotipizza in Mariehamn to open in December 2020. I schooled the new personel and helped them get everything in order for the opening.
SUNNAN II 2020
I worked as a waitress and I am responsible for the bar. Sunnan is a boat in Mariehamn, Åland and it goes around Mariehamn every Wednesday to Saturday 2 times a day. My responsibilities are the bar, the restaurant, making sure we have everything onboard.
EDEN ROCK 2020
I started working in Eden Rock in January 2020 as a waitress. I toke care of everything that happened on the floor; serving the food, salad table, serving drinks, cleaning. I have also been working in the bar. When Covid-19 hit Åland we had a take away service and home delivery which I was in charge of. I made the food and delivered it all around Åland.
GH FYREN 2019-2020
I worked as an intern in GH Fyren which is a restaurant in Ekenäs, Finland. I have learnt a lot about working in restaurants that have both lunch and a la carte, what to do during events and how to do it. I have been working during lunch, in the evening, on an event for 550 persons and on several Christmas parties.
KOTIPIZZA MARIEHAMN 2019
During my studies I have been working in Kotipizza on the side. I have had the same tasks in this Kotipizza as in Kotipizza Karjaa.
KVIKNES HOTEL 2019
I started working in Kviknes Hotel in May 2019. Kviknes Hotel is a hotel in Balestrand, Norway. I worked there as a receptionist. I worked there until the middle of August because I moved to Mariehamn, Åland to start studying Hospitality Management.
HOTELL REGATTA 2019
I worked as a temp in Hotell Regatta in Hanko, Finland. I was in the restaurant as a waitress and a little bit in the bar.
KOTIPIZZA KARJAA 2017-2019
I started working at Kotipizza in Karjaa autumn of 2017 and I left April of 2019. I handled the register, orders and the dining hall. I also made pizzas. Working here really made me think about my future and what I want to do. To see the world and to work abroad is my goal.
BOSSA NOVA 2018
I worked in Bossa Nova restaurant and terrace during the summer. I worked as a pizza baker. I also planned and finished the website for Bossa Nova. Bossa Nova and Baywatch are run by the same owner. 1
BAYWATCH 2018
I worked in Baywatch Hamnterrassen during the summer. I worked as a pizza baker. I took the job so that I could work some more and to meet new people. Baywatch and Bossa Nova are run by the same owner.
EKENÄS CAMPING 2017
I worked in the reception at Ekenäs Camping.
It feels great to build a connection with the customers and to be able to help them if necessary. I honestly think this is what I should be doing.
CHICHESTER PARK HOTEL 2017
I worked as an intern at Chichetser Park Hotel in Chichester, England.
I worked in the reception and in the restaurant.
My internship lasted for almost two months and I loved it!
I got to know myself and I found out that the tourism studies were the right choice for me.
SKÅLDÖ FISKEBOD 2016
I worked in a grocery store in Tammisaari, Finland called Skåldö Fiskebod.
I was a cashier, put items on the shelves and helped the customers.
I worked there for two months and I loved being a helping hand.
I like to connect with people and to help them if needed.
MOTEL MARINE 2015
I was an intern at Motel Marine.
I got to try on working as a receptionist, barista, waitress, house keeper and chef.
I learned many things from my colleagues and for that I am grateful.
It was an informative workplace and I liked working there.
TURKU CASTLE 2015
I was an intern at Turku Castle and I was there for two months.
I worked as a tour guide and on birthday parties I portrayed the Queen of Turku Castle.
I learned a lot on how to guide and also a lot of Finnish history.
It was a comfortable job and I got to try on something new.
CEMETERY 2014 & 2015
I worked on the cemetery in Tammisaari for one month a year both times.
I planted flowers on the graves and I watered the flowers.
I also cleaned the paths of the cemetery.
I had kind colleagues and it was a nice work atmosphere.
VVS- TORGET 2013 & 2014
I was an intern at Karis VVS-torg when I was in elementary school and I helped with all the filing they had undone.
The colleagues were kind and they helped when they could.
I liked working there and I learned many things about myself and what I want to work with.
ASSISTANT LEADER 2014 & 2015 & 2018
I was an assistant leader at the churches' camps and I was a lot with the children and held different activities for them.
The camps were often about a week long and it was always a great week.
MJANNE 2013 & 2014
I worked here a couple of times, one month at a time. It was a grocery store and my job was to put items on the shelves and to be in the stand outside of the store to sell fresh berries.
It was a great work place and I grew up with my colleagues over the years. It was a good time of my life.
DAY CARE 2013
I was at Kila day care as an intern for one week in elementary school.
I played with the children, learned a couple of things in sign language and got to know my colleagues.
I like to be around children and to play with them so it was a great place for me.
I grew up over the years and I couldn't be happier that I got to know myself better in the process.
